NCC-1701 is a USS Enterprise from a movie. But I don't get the idea of the comics. Anybody could explain?

Small typo: 'Reently On The NCC-1701-E' should be 'Recently ...'
Nevertheless, found this one very funny. I love the mix of Star Trek und geek humor.

The uniforms seem to indicate that the action is taking place on the Enterprise-D.
Throughout the Star Trek Franchise, there have been numerous ships named USS Enterprise. They all had the same registry NCC-1701. Start with the second one, they all had a lettered suffix indicating which version it was. On Enterprises D and E, it was possible to hold relatively complex conversation with the ship's computer.
The iPhone 4s is a phone that was recently released on the market, which uses Google and Wolfram Alpha as backend for intelligent speech recognition.
