No one needs flash. In a few years when people realize that, you'll feel foolish.

Nothing is a great browsing experience, when you can't even see a lot of web content.
So every upcoming browsing tablet will be better, because it simply shows every web content. Why does apple make it so easy for others to become better?

Future similar products will be better, but they will not be more popular or significant if they don't support the most popular web applications.

There is an app that allows flash video playback. I don't know the name, but I saw it on a friends iPad.

Nice to see all those tablets that came out after the iPad that knocked it off its high-horse with their Flash enabled browsers. Oh wait... I said a couple years. 1 more year and I bet not a soul left will care that the iOS devices don't do flash.
