The Social Generation
I can't believe you expect us to think the world population is constant.

@ZippoLag: The graph is probably based on a relative scale to cancel out the "natural" growth in social website users.

@ Richard :::
THIS IS "SOCIAL MEDIA"... when You'Re able to comment... and leave Your name... that's social interaction in the medium!
nobody doesn't like *social media*..!
that's why facebook is the THING.
They reached the "critical mass" ...
so they have the monopoly on a way of life actually... it's horrible!!
And on the other hand: *social networking* will only be what it should be, if we manage to loosen the ties to one certain (or /worse/ several seperate) plattforms!
SOCIAL NETWORKING must and will become platform-independent/ decentralized!
see: *DIASPORA/ APPLESEED/ OneSocialWeb!!
...
the web will become one great big social network. it actually is... but to take part in it, we're depending on the ONE big platform... that is ~well~ facebook...
You're also contributing, to the socail web... (all of you!)... so let's hope we will (ONE DAY;) have proper standards and implementations to free the idea from the platform.
